CONSTRUCTION SERVICES - GPS

Niebur Golf is able to offer our services using GPS technology, to accurately map your Golf Course and all it’s features. The data collected can be used to calculate length of holes, square footage of course features (tees, greens, bunkers and grass lines) and irrigation systems. This information also can be used for accurate score cards, Golf Cart GPS systems and Tee Box signage.

New EPA and Wetland Protection Agencies rules and regulations have put golf course builders or designers, or those interested in building a golf course under pressure. Golf Courses now have to be very precise in their applications and documentation supporting the use of all chemicals applied to turf areas. With the newest granular and liquid fertilizers available to turf managers, comes an increase in the costs of annual chemical applications. Knowing the exact square footage of areas that require these applications, can potentially save 10%-20% of wasted chemicals. The monetary savings from one year of wasted fertilizers during chemical applications can contribute considerably to the cost of having the Course GPS mapped by Niebur Golf.

Awareness of water usage with limited waste has propelled the Irrigation industry into computerized central control of Irrigation systems. These computerized systems automatically calculate friction losses in piping, quantify daily water usage, adjust water times to meet ET numbers and calculate matched precipitation rates. The use of these computers can achieve close to 100% efficient watering schedules and fertilization routines. In order for these central control programs to operate efficiently, a map needs to be generated in a CAD format. Niebur Golf can do all of this for you with the data collected during the GPS mapping process. If you are going to up-grade your current central control computer, we can help you.

Niebur Golf can create post construction as built drawings accurately with the use of this new technology. The information that is transferred through this data can be used to locate lost irrigation components and buried drain basins as well as evaluating the costs of renovation projects.

Please contact us with any questions and we will give you answers. We will also let you know how we use this technology in many other ways to give our clients the best possible service using this state of the art technology.
